Impressive Liverpool Top Of The Table

After 11 games with 4 wins at home, 4 on the road, only dropping two points at home and 5 on the road, the Klopp factor has well and truly taken shape.

We look an unstoppable force at the moment, playing amazing football. We know we are one of most inform teams in this seasons premier league. We have no fear with Man City, Arsenal and Spurs all dropping points over the weekend and we needed a massive performance against a Watford team that beat us 3 – 0 last season. Boy did we get one!

To be honest I thought we would find it hard and it did take us a good 20 minutes to get into the game, but when Mane scored the opening goal with a perfectly placed header, the flood gates opened.

Coutinho is on another level and reinforced the reason why we need to do everything we can to keep him on the 30th minute when he fired home from Firmino’s pass.

We let Watford come at us for a bit after that but caught them with great attacking play, leading with Lallana’s cross to Emre Can on forty three minutes to end a nice first half for Klopp’s men.

The Second half was a similar story with lots of pressure from Liverpool with Watford soaking it up. Lallana yet again turned provider and set up Firmino on the 57th minute before Firmino himself became the provider for Mane on 60 minutes making it 5-0 to Liverpool.

We became a bit sloppy at the back and allowed Janmaat score a consolation in the 75th minute, which did not go down well with Klopp as was evident on his face immediately afterwards.

Sturridge came on and had some great chances to score but the Watford keeper made one of greatest saves from a opposing keeper at the Kop end by pushing Sturridge’s shot onto crossbar.

It was not Daniel’s day as yet again Costel Pantilimon saved another effort from him and pushed it out for a corner.

Liverpool took a quick and deadly corner and yet again opened up Watford’s defence. The goalkeeper parried another Sturridge shot away but it fell straight into the path of Wijnaldum who scored  his first goal for the club to make it Liverpool 6, Watford 1.

Who needs Suarez? was sung by Liverpool fans and rightly so. We look like Liverpool of old resurgent in 2017 having not lost a home game and let’s hope it keeps going.

We are up there fighting among the top teams and I feel I can say now, we have the look of title challengers.
