Liverpool Interested In Dutch Winger Quincy Promes
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are interested in bringing Dutch winger, Quincy Promes to Anfield in January.
The 24 year old who currently plies his trade for Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premier League has an impressive tally of 36 goals in 74 appearances with 19 assists and has scored 5 goals in 10 games this season providing 6 assists.
He also has 16 caps for the Dutch national side scoring 2 goals and excelled for the Dutch U21’s, scoring 8 times in 9 games.
Klopp is keen to add cover for Sadio Mane who is set to depart for the African Cup of Nations in January and Danny Ings who is a long term injury absentee and Promes is seen as the ideal candidate due to his speed, skill and his eye for goal.
The Dutch international moved to Spartak Moscow from FC Twente in August 2014 for a fee of £13m and has recently just signed a new contract with Spartak worth £55k per week.
Promes is primarily a right winger but can also play in the left wing position and as a striker.
If Klopp is to bring the talented attacker to Anfield, he will have to meet Spartak’s current valuation which is reported to be £25m.
Obviously, Liverpool scouts are actively scouting the Russian league at the moment as Promes is the second name from the Russian League linked with Liverpool in recent weeks as FC Rostov’s Iranian midfielder, Sardar Azmoun was touted as a possible January target for the reds only last week.
