Sturridge Leaves Liverpool Training Camp
Daniel Sturridge has returned to Liverpool early from the Reds warm weather training camp at La Manga in Spain.
The 27 year old has reportedly been suffering from a virus all week but still wanted to travel with the squad in the hope that it would improve enough for him to train.
He didn’t train with the rest of the team on Thursday and after being assessed by Liverpool medical staff, it was decided that he wouldn’t be able to take part in any of the training.
Sturridge returned to Liverpool today ahead of the rest of the team, who will return on Sunday.
He is the second player in the last few weeks to suffer from a virus as Ragnar Klavan missed some of last weeks training with a similar ailment.
Sturridge took to Instagram to reassure fans that he’ll be back in training next week.
